The rubber is limited to a grid on the rear of the tile, leaving plenty of surface area for the tile to conduct heat. The system works well together.

I got the idea to cut my bags in retangle strips to do the plank look. I paid $20 for a case, stack or what ever they call the package.... of just grocery bags. I got them from the Save A Lot grocery store. They are 5 cents a bag. I decided I liked that better than the rolls. Like Val Roche mentioned, the rolls have different sides and I did not like that part of it all. I am doing mine on top of really icky, black glue floors that were originally Terrazzzo. I plan to sand mine to make sure I get a good adhesion. Oh yes, you can get a large 12 piece sandpaper at the Dollar Tree (that's a dollar plus tax for 12 pieces). I did not like paying $4 for just four pieces at HD.

yes the history is so plentiful and interesting. Not much history like it out here, because it was mostly settlers and Indians. We were looking at the names of towns and roads etc, many Indian names we don't have here, different tribes altogether. Brought back so many memories.
