Glaynebaker on Dec 13, 2015Sure, you can. Mason jars are often used because of their look and because, as canning jars, they are strong.Helpful Reply

BJ Ward on Dec 13, 2015Yes you can. There is not an issue with heat since the solar lights are not strong enough to heat it up. Those would look just as lovely as anything elseHelpful Reply

Larry Lou on Dec 13, 2015I make solar lights from Walmart brand instant coffee jars, and bought their solar lights and they fit perfectly into the top of the jars. I put all sorts of goodies inside, i.e. acrylic stones, marbles etc of all different colors, they worked out wonderful and have had many ask where I got them lol.Helpful Reply

Espie Tamayo on Dec 19, 2015I made mine last year using mayonnaise and Mason jars. I put table salt half was up the jars (looks like snow) then inserted battery-powered candles in each. I placed ribbons around the jar necks and attached glittery deer ornaments that I purchased at local craft store on sale. The jars were placed on each step leading down to the street from our front door. The effect was really festive and pretty, and we got lots of compliments.Helpful Reply
