are there any shows that would do remodeling in the cinn, ohio or louisville, KY area of the country?

3po3 on Jan 26, 2012Most of the shows I have seen work all over the country, so I don't see any reason they would not work in those areas. You'll never know if you don't ask. I'm pretty sure they all have places on their websites where you can submit requests and ideas. I am not absolutely sure if this applies, but I don't think it could hurt to have other people recommend your house rather than asking for help yourself. I know when I was a community newspaper editor, I was much more compelled to write stories about individuals and businesses if their friends / neighbors / supporters contacted me suggesting the story. Find some friends who are willing to spend a few minutes making your case and see where it goes.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Jan 26, 2012Check out HGTV web site. They have all sorts of contests looking for homes such as this. But do not get your hopes up to much as there are 1000's of people asking for help all the time in this fashion. Have you thought of going to any local voc-tec school that has a building program? For the price of the materials they may do this as part of a school project for you. In our town this need was happening more then a lot. So the town put out requests for contractors who would donate time and materials to foster someones home for one week and do a few projects for them. The response was amazing. several dozen homes throughout our town were painted, inside and out, new handicap ramps were installed. Roofs were repaired or replaced. Heating and cooling systems were repaired or replaced. It just was great overall. Friends put in requests on behalf of their neighbors and based upon the number of requests made about three dozen homeowners were helped this past fall. This is the third year that our town has done this and it simply gets bigger every year.Helpful Reply

Pat on Oct 11, 2015In the meantime, there are often thrift stores, Habitat stores, etc. that have cheap finds. Paint stores have paint that was mixed wrong, etc. maybe not much time, but even a little bit at a time may make you feel good.Helpful Reply

Mul2947813 on Jan 20, 2016In the paint dept at Lowes, often there is paint that didn't come out the right color and it is usually sold at a bargain. Keeping an eye on that department might just be your answer.Helpful Reply
