Pet door draft
-
Laura Peterman on Jan 26, 2016I put up a curtain on my back door that is just a bit longer than my door. I have 2 dogs and a cat and they've had no problems using the doggie door. It has most certainly kept my kitchen much warmer! Hope this works for you!Helpful Reply

Johnchip on Jan 26, 2016I agree a full or partial curtain that is big enough to cover cover the opening, but not so big it gets caught. Try by taping a piece first before going 'all the way;' (You can also try one in and one out)Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Jan 26, 2016Lindsey could you use a tube of silicone caulk to seal up the draft around the edge of where the actual door meets the doggie door? I like the idea of using a curtain over it too.Helpful Reply

VARUSHKA YOLANDA on Jan 26, 2016I took a piece of canvas type of material and hung it on the inside, it seemed to pull so I cut down the middle and it definitely helped a great deal.Helpful Reply

Mary on Jan 26, 2016Maybe some velcro tape, I believe they come in different grip strengths. If your dogs are big they might be able to push through without your assistance. Hope this helps! Blessings to you and yours.Helpful Reply

Lindsey on Jan 26, 2016Got an idea from Mary to use Velcro, plus others telling me to hang a small curtain over it. I think that will work. Thanks!Helpful Reply
