3po3 on Feb 09, 2012I think it's too late now, but here is some more information from the American Daffodil Society: http://daffodilusa.com/references/FORCING.pdfHelpful Reply

Erica Glasener on Feb 10, 2012Susan, If by some chance you have kept the bulbs in a chilled place, you could pot them up in soil in a pot and put them outside and they may bloom yet this spring.Helpful Reply

Ricardo B on Feb 10, 2012Just so happens that a few years ago I bought a bag of about 15 daffodil bulbs and set them in the garage for later. When I remembered them a few weeks later... they were already swelled up, producing roots and some had already put out their green shoots. I was amazed! I think the dark, cool garage had something to do with preventing death by forgetfulness.Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Feb 12, 2012Yes, the key is whether they have been kept someplace cool like an garage. Otherwise, plant them in the ground, even though you may have to wait a year to see blooms.Helpful Reply

Amy Gill on Apr 10, 2016I forgot to plant some of my bulbs last fall, so when I found them, I thought why not try. They had been in the garage all winter. I found that most of the bulbs on their own in the bags had started to swell and had a stem start. I took them and used them in containers that I had some perennials in. Well, with nothing to loose, I now have Tulips, Hyacinths, crocuses and other flowers that have taken hold and are blooming. I did mix in some peat and fresh potting soil, watered regularly and finally I used miracle liquid bloom boost.Helpful Reply
