KatAych on Mar 08, 2016If you Google "free-standing privacy patio screens" you'll see a lot of different methods other people have used. Not sure how well the PVC pipe will hold up in a strong wind?Helpful Reply

Jordan Le Bouton on Mar 08, 2016I have seen the trellis sheets have straight op and down pieces of wood to poke in the ground. I am going to do this this summer and Put wood all the way around to make it look neater. You could then attach a curtain rod inside and put flowing curtains so no one can see in. Those sheets are not that expensive and neither are boards to put in the ground. I am not paying for a permit to attach something to my house. Besides I like the look of it. I am also going to install it in the opening on my porch from the rail to the ceiling and make a door across the entry of it. So excited summer will be here soon! I hope I helped.Helpful Reply

Gayle on Mar 08, 2016We used PVC pipe and covered it with shade screen material. Curtains would work, too. We put the legs of PVC into coffee cans filled with cement. On one, I used galvanized buckets from Lowes filled with cement. They are still moveable, but steady enough to withstand winds. On one, we used the PVC and painted it, but on one we used metal conduit. Both look great, and have lasted for many years. Does that help?Helpful Reply

Tara Kotry on Mar 09, 2016Depending on how big you need it to be you could use 4x4x,6or8 concrete them into the ground and attaching some lattice should give you privacy. You could even put 3 posts in then string a laundry line across and hang outdoor curtainsHelpful Reply
