I need ideas on how to pair hot pink with these vintage curtains...

Bonnie on Apr 17, 2016The pillow idea is the first that comes to my mind too. You could always add hot pink gem stones to the pillows or hot pink piping around the pillows. Once the pillows are in another area and the curtains are hung, then this fabric will all make sense. You could also add a few other accessories (vases, pots) in the colours of the fabric to tie things together.Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Apr 17, 2016Adding the colors in the curtains as accessories will work for sure! I had a room and added curtains I lived that had similar colors and it turned out greatHelpful Reply

Birdz of a Feather on Apr 17, 2016If you use it as curtains you can add a wide band of hot pink in the middle where the two panels meet or at the bottomHelpful Reply

Darla on Apr 17, 2016This is going to sound weird, but you could paint some small hot pink or gold accents right on the fabric with acrylic paint.Helpful Reply

Miren Ruiz on Apr 17, 2016Yo tambien creo que pintando con pintura acrilica seria la solucion.En los petalos que tenienen mucho azul o en los lilas.Al azar.Helpful Reply

William on Apr 17, 2016All great ideas! Lots of talented people here with a vision. Hot pink piping or tassles on pillows. Trim out the tops and bottoms of the curtains with hot pink fabric. Not weird, Darla! Dab on hot pink fabric paint randomly on some of the flower petals. Gold dots on some of the stamens. Gold veins on some of the leaves.Helpful Reply

Cindi on Apr 17, 2016I'd make a valance of hot pink, and curtain tie backs. The material already has lavender/pink flowers, so it will bring them out more, and go with the pink you have in the room. If you have extra, make some pillows with both materials, that will tie it all together.Helpful Reply

Pam on Apr 18, 2016Why not just frame the material and use it as a piece of art or line one side of throw pillows with it. I would not use it for curtains unless you lined the other side as it will fade quickly. Here is a inspiration room that you can use for an idea. Use the fabric as this person has for a splash of color,Helpful Reply

Dawn Gagnon on May 30, 2016Since you can't add hot pink to the fabric, add the colors of the fabric to the hot pink :DHelpful Reply

Nancy Gramm on May 30, 2016Expanding on Dawn's suggestion, you could combine the colors of the drapes and the hot pink and use elsewhere in the room. I pulled some images I found online and put them with your fabric. Top row left is a pillow from Etsy. $16.69 for a 15" square pillow. https://www.etsy.com/listing/195964680/15x15-pink-blue-ikat-cushion-coverTop row right is a fabric from Spoonflower. $17.50 per yard. http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/3485241-watercolor-ikat-chevron-navy-fuchsia-aqua-by-willowlanetextilesSecond row middle is a custom painting from Etsy. $1950 but it would be a great inspiration for doing one of your own, and you could customize yours with your own colors. I'm a fan of the flame/ikat design, and the pattern would be a great foil to your floral. https://www.etsy.com/listing/99495206/custom-ikat-chevron-36x48-painting-by?utm_source=Pinterest&utm_medium=PageTools&utm_campaign=ShareLeft bottom row was a Spoonflower fabric sold on Etsy, which I found on Pinterest and nowhere else. Bottom row right is also a Spoonflower fabric. The image appears large but is actually rather small. Click on the designer's name; she has other pieces that could work in your range. http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/3076889-watercolor-ikat-chevron-teal-peach-small-by-emilysanford Good luck!Helpful Reply
