What can you tell me about vintage doctor's office jars?
What I don't know is- is there any history or value? Does anyone know anything about them? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Chi Chi on Apr 20, 2016Profex is the maker, they are mid-century, roughly. They sell in sets still, you can find some very nice condition sets on eBay and Etsy, but they can be a bit pricey. McMurray Antiques and Auctions specializes in apothecary jars if you have any additional questions. Not sure they handle this time period but they may be able to help you some. http://mcmurrayauctions.com/ Also, I am not versed in this era so I can't tell you for sure if yours or authentic period pieces or reproductions. Good luck, this is a cool grouping of apothecaries!Helpful Reply

Emily on Apr 21, 2016Apothecary jars are what would have been used by apothecaries (pharmacists) they would be older and more valuable than the jars you have shown pictured. If yours is the set pictured they would valuable because of the completeness and the base.Helpful Reply

GrinninGramma on Apr 22, 2016I first thought the value would be around $150; then I searched "completed items" on Ebay and found this similar set that sold for $5000: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Merco-Apothecary-Doctor-s-Office-Glass-Jar-Complete-Set-Dental-Medical-/331632863375?hash=item4d36dbe88f:g:bNkAAOSwT6pV1M7oHelpful Reply
