Have a amaryllis w/lots of green foliage, no blooms!

Douglas Hunt on Jun 05, 2013Was this an amaryllis you have recently planted, Carol, or one you have overwintered from previous years? According to Iowa State University, amaryllis that fail to bloom may not have been able to store adequate food reserves in their bulbs in spring and summer. Others may not have been exposed to the proper temperatures (50° to 55°F for 8 to 10 weeks). See more here: http://www.extension.iastate.edu/publications/rg328.pdfHelpful Reply
