Judy Johnson Wilson on Jul 05, 2013Without any pictures,.... I would start wit a good soapy bath for the plant. Using a spray bottle, fill it almost full with tepid water adding about 1/8 cup mild dish soap. Spray down the plant making sure to get the under sides of the leaves as well as the tops. It will not hurt the rose so give it a good soaking. This should kill any aphid problem and help the plant to regrow. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Jul 06, 2013The only thing I would change about Judy's advice would be to suggest that you use a good commercially prepared insecticidal soap instead. Commercial products have been tested for their safe use on plants. Dish soap can actually strip essential oils from from plants' leaves, leaving them more susceptible.Helpful Reply
