Electric Power Washer
-
Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on May 26, 2012Electrical power washers are not worth the cost. These are simply a pressure booster that you can get with a high end hose sprayer. Your better off getting a 2500 psi unit, While not nearly as strong as the 3500 unit, it will do a boat load of cleaning that the electrical unit would not even touch. Sears has been advertizing a stem./power washer. Do not be duped into thinking this has any value. It cannot create nearly enough hot water or steam to do anything worth doing. Gas powered 2500 psi units are really the best thing for most homeowners. Anything less does to little, that a hose can do on its on, and anything more then 2500 psi, you risk tearing deck boards up, damaging screens etc, unless you have experience using such a tool. I own a 110 volt commercial power washer. It is perfect for cleaning air conditioning unit grills as the amount of water coming out along with the pressure will not damage the fins, But it will not remove dirt from siding or deck surfaces. Unless I want to spend hours of time in doing so.Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on May 27, 2012I have an Excel 2800 psi gas one. which I use in deck cleaning, fences siding etc. I have also used it to clean our persian rugs. If your pool deck is just concrete a simple garden hose may be enough, similarly with the "screens". more is not always better.Helpful Reply
