Termite treatment question

By chance does anyone know how much a termite treatment cost? I live in MD, had an inspection done, no termite damage was detected but was told I needed the treatment because I had too much mulch up against the house. That part was true and I am in the process of removing it and found a couple little white insects/worms? along the way. The inspector said that was termites. They are charging 954.00 for treatment and a years contract. Does that sound right?

Unless they found active termites or saw some sort of past activity due to tunnels or damage, there is no need for treatment. However if they saw these little white bugs, about 1/4 inch at most long, that sounds as tough you have them. Treatments cost anywhere from $500 to several thousand dollars. The cost estimate you got seems to be in par with the average home. However get a few other estimates as well. Smaller companies often charge less then the big franchise ones. Your realtor should be able to help you out with a few of these lower cost guys. They all use the same products and all in the process of a home sale are required to provide the same warranty. So nothing else you need to worry about. Be glad they did not find any damage.

We had termite treatment did for $ 922.00 with ABC ,With contract and yearly inspection about $64.00 ..
