Leslie on Jul 18, 2016I would go back to the store where you bought the additive and tell them what happened. (bring the cans) They may be able to shed some light on the problem.Helpful Reply

Phil Harris on Jul 18, 2016For a longer lasting anti-slip floor paint I suggest you consider an epoxy based coating. They are very tough, mine has lasted years. However, they are more expensive than solvent based coatings.Helpful Reply

Nancy Flemming on Jul 18, 2016It is possibly due to going over the existing paint, did you sand or rough up the first surface before putting down the paint with additive? I agree with Leslie go back to the store with your cans and ask them or google problems with paint peeling on a porch.Helpful Reply

Nancy Flemming on Jul 19, 2016Unfortunately adding sand just wears the paint more quickly, but it does work.Helpful Reply

Dee B on Jul 19, 2016Yes, that is what I tried first, years ago when I bought the house. The paint additive worked quite well to prevent slipping, but if it only last a few months, like adding sand. Oh well...Helpful Reply

Dee B on Jul 19, 2016Yes, I thought I stated that I resanded and painted. It looked perfect for about two or three weeks. If I wasnt in front of my entry, I would not be so disappointed. Thank you Nancy for taking the time.Helpful Reply

Dee B on Jul 19, 2016Not resolved, but I keep getting responses to do the same things I stated in my appeal that I had previously done without success. Not useful info to me. This was my first time using this forum for help. I prefer to seek advice elsewhere. Thank you for the opportunity.Helpful Reply

Joan Stanley on Jul 22, 2016Behr has a special paint made for cement patios and wood decks. It's about the same price as regular paint. It comes in a lot of colors and has two levels of roughness to choose from. It also helps seal small defects in the finish. I have not used it yet because it got too hot before I got that far this year. I will be painting my cement patio next spring. It can be found at Home Depot. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply
