How to reconstruct an old hot house with no money?

Sassy on Jul 31, 2016Check out freecycle and craigslist for free old windows for the glass you need. Use pallets for all the wood you need for shelving - use the slats for the shelves and the support posts can come from the center of the pallets.Helpful Reply

Marilyn Zaruba on Aug 01, 2016Check with the supervisors at new construction sites or where someone is rehabbing an old building. You might be surprised what they will give you. It never hurts to ask..what's the worst that can happen?Helpful Reply

C Crow on Aug 06, 2016As others have already mentioned, check Craigslist free section frequently--like several times a day as things are snapped up quickly in my area. Also check the "materials" section of CL as people often have leftover construction materials they just want out of the way. The Habitat Restores in my area are reasonable, too. The local independent hardware store offers free pallets quite often--check with yours. Also, let your friends know what you are on the lookout for--surprising what people have stuck away and just don't think about until you let them know you're looking! Check out window/glass dealers as they sometimes have castoffs they can't sell. I'd give you some old windows were we closer. Best wishes!Helpful Reply
