Purplish/lavender color balls (very tiny) on centepede grass...

Covers most of the blade of grass (in a very small spot, not the whole lawn)....thought it was bug eggs at first, but may be a fungus, as it seems to turn to powder if you rub it.....any ideas? Thanx!
