I have a friend that lays or wraps the cushions in tin foil ( from the Dollar store). Keeps her cats and any others off . she also does this on her sofa when she is not home.

Set mousetraps on bottom cushion upside down/backwards put against the back cushion. They will set them off when they hit the cushion and scram. No harm, no foul, no more favorite cushion after a while.

is this one of those things where you go with it not against it? do you have an old blanket, sheet, towels to put on the cushions for the cats to sleep on. they can then be warm and comfy and you can move the cover to sit down and put it back when you get up.--everybodys happpy!

you can buy the plastic runner for carpet they are pokey on the back and lay it on the furniture upside down. When they go on the cushions it is uncomfortable for them.

Put pine cones in the chair seats.

Anywhere you don't want a cat, use pine cones.

When I put down Mulch, I lay a few pines cones in mulched beds so cats will not uses it for their bsthroom.

I have to laugh...I don't have cats...love the little stinkers because they are so darn funny...but I just do not want to scoop poop! But I always giggle when I see a post about corralling cats....can it even be done? LOL
