My mop head is so dirty! Can I clean it or should I throw it out?
I’ve had this mop for at least a year and have gotten a lot of use out of it. It’s starting to get really dirty (it used to be white) and I’m not sure if it’s worth trying to clean or to rather get a new mop. Advice? Thanks!

et a new mop head.
Get a new one and this time launder it with your towels when it gets dingy or alone with a little bleach.
I SOAK MINE IN MY TOILET WITH BLEACH IT DOES TWO THINGS AT ONCE CLEANS MOP ANG TOILET BOWL
Can use rit whitener/brightner
I'd get a new one and wash it regularly with the bath rugs.
Soak in bleach after every use.......or get a new one ..they don't cost much
I would buy a new mop or replace the mop head.
If still in good shape which it appears to be just wash with bleach I would let it soak first then machine wash and rinse with vinegar at least twice to get all bleach off. This should disinfect it as well so even if it doesn't come out optic white it still has life in it don't spend money unless you have to do so.
This may not be a detachable mop head. If not, just soak it in bleach water for a while after you use, rinse WELL, wring out and hang out to dry.
Just wash it in the washer with bleach on the light cycle. You will have to staighten it out with your fingers when it is done. I wash 6 at a time.
I wash my mopheads with a little bleach after I use it. I've had them for over a year and they're still almost like new.
I use a commercial mop head that easily is laundred everytime I wash cleaning rags
I have two one is used while the other is been cleaned. I would never put it through a washing machine, got so tangled ended up throwing it out. Just soak over night in a bleach, rinse under cold water then stand on handle so mop can hang down and let dry.
Tangled mop head after machine wash. I'm going to knot the ends to see if this will prevent tangling and reduce having to purchase mop heads so frequently.
Hi there, hope this helps.
Using a combination of hot water and bleach (or a disinfectant of your choice), soak the mop for about ten minutes then rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Wring out mop head. Wring out the fibers thoroughly to speed up the drying process. Air-dry the mop.
