Do people still craft with rubber stamps, paper and ink?

Stamping has excelled into scrapbooking. Multi media picture mosaics. Some jewelry makers use stamping to enhance jewelry with patterns. Leather crafters use stamping.
I still making my own cards with stamps etc and dies it is a relaxing hobby
I did scrapbooking with paper and stamps/embellishments Etc. until I found digital scrapbooking and became addicted to that, and bought the PSE Elements software. I haven't done that in a couple of years now either. It's good to hear that people are still doing this. Thank you for your comments
I still have my stamps and still use them on occasion. Exactly why this house is stuffed with craft supplies! If you no longer want it, think about donating to a local school, they would love stuff like this.
Stamps are great for personalizing cards, and stationary and even wrapping paper....lots of fun being creative! I would have bought more of this type of thing, but I have several hobbies I like more, lol!
I don't believe it has died. In fact if you use clothing paint you could print on fabric.
I know what you mean, I'm a little ADD so I sometimes feel like I'm chasing my tail trying to figure out what I want to "play with", and always have several crafty things going at once
I too, have a lot of stamps and supplies. I just recently started to watch YouTube videos on stamping and I am hooked again. The Misti is an awesome tool I wished we had years ago. I am taking my old stamps apart (without the wood) and going to organize again with more room in my drawers to add new stamps and helping products. New items make it so much fun. I have a Cricut and that help too. Look up : MayMay Made it, or Melody Lane, plus many others. They have fun videos and helpful ways to stamp and use products. After my taxes are done I am going to use all of my new products and get my old ones out too. I CAN'T wait!!!
I still use rubber stamps, although I'm pretty selective about them. I'm making journals and am just starting to do mail art. In my opinion, crafts don't die; fads die out, but some people keep on developing their crafts. It's cool that fads die out, because I buy lots of cool craft stuff at thrift stores.
I LOVE STAMPING. I DO ALOT OF CARDS, TAGS, GIFT WRAP, ECT... BEEN TEACHING MY GRAND DAUGHTER TO DO IT. SHE LOVES IT.
. Card making is alive in Northeast Florida. We have classes each week and we are learning a lot.
Awesome! When we had a plethora of rubber stamp stores around, many of them offered classes where you would learn a new technique or review a new ink or rubber stamp. Each week we would pick a theme and do a card swap, so if there were 10 people in the class, you would make 10 of the same card, but go home with 10 different cards, one from each person. I have a huge box full of cards and ATC's and saved them for inspiration.
Check out card making and mixed media art projects on Youtube. You will find thousands of tutorials that use stamps and a lot of the artist products that you have, and you may even be inspired to start using them again. If you're tired of card making and scrapbooking, but still want to do something, then "art journaling" is a wonderful hobby that employs card making, mixed-media, and other art techniques that you may find interesting. In my opinion, card making and scrapbooking are still as popular as ever. Youtube is a testament to that.
I have been stamping since the 80s. Some years more intensely than others. Watching you tube videos and joining facebook groups on stamping will energize you! Stamping and cardmaking have changed so much in the past few years. You can use your old stamps in new ways. In fact, I find doing just that extremely challenging! Have fun!
Yes rubber stamping card making is very popular today
I love my stamps...it has been quite a few years since i used them ...but if i see one i want i still get it...also fi ding lots of them at thrift store.. great buys..also the die cutters....i have well over $5000 worth of supplies...not just going to throw them out thats for sure.
It sure is alive and well.
I have hundreds of stamps and different inks, papers, embossing powder, heat gun, ribbon, etc etc.
I started making cards as it was so much cheaper and more personalized while running a ‘card table ministry’ at church.
Had between 4-14 cards out on a table for anyone to sign for many different reasons after church in our fellowship hall.
They were sent down the road and as far as the other side of the planet.
Probably sent out about 3-4 thousand cards over the years I was there.
That would have cost a fortune if I’d have shopped at Hallmark.
Nothing against them but it would have been costly if we used purchased cards.
You can never have too much fabric or too much stamping equipment.
IMHO
