Searching for others here who have used this system.
just take a regular hose and drill holes into it at various points
You can take a hand sewing needle. hold it with pliers and use a light tap of hammer to get it in . hardly seen when taken out. You might use a needle a bit larger than quilting needles. works great.
Why not just buy one?
I drilled small holes in pvc pipe and closed off one end and glued a hose connector to the other
You can take an old hose, drill small holes in it and bury or lay on top of your soil. Make sure you have access to the end, hook up to your regular hose and turn on water. And, make sure you plug the end.
find an old hose and put holes (drill) in it every inch or so depending upon what you are watering.
You can buy soaker hose, ready made. It is porous and water seeps out.
