How can I grow vegetables in containers (planters, flower pots, etc.)?

I have a very small yard and lots of vegetable-eating wildlife.

    I have grown tomatoes, green beans, yellow squash, flowers, and herbs in pots on my deck. They need lots of sun, buy the pots, potting soil, plants and start growing!

    I grow tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs on my deck. I fill large pots with miracle grow potting soil place on sunny deck. fertilize again after fruit forms. I also use tomato wire forms right inside the pot.

    Great advice Cindy! Yes, wildlife tend to be deterred when it comes to getting se to building or decks...Go Ahead & plant those pots & containers with whatever vegetables you have in mind! Keep in mind that longer vegetables such as cots & celery need a deeper container/box. Happy sowing!

    And about the veggie eating wildlife - depending on what it is, you can keep them out of your pots with various natural solutions! Any idea what the biggest culprit is?
