You could place the mirror anywhere in a area you want to look larger.
Keeping it facing a north facing yard helps from heat and glare. I found this was a fun place to get ideas.

Pt in on your fence to make a nice illusion of more space....it will reflect your yard and make it look larger
Hi Katherine. I love the idea of an outdoor mirror. You could put it so that it would reflect any birds or small animals so that you would not normally be able to get close to. I love the idea of a bench nearby so you could relax and still see around a corner. Also, you could put it by your flowers or vegetables in hopes that the reflection would scare away any hungry deer, birds, or other animals. Hope this helps.
