I thought the same thing until I used it. I'm really impressed with the look.
I want to use it again.
It's just a way to give a dreamy vintage look to pieces. Not as heavy-looking as a coat of solid color paint.
Chalk paint is great because you don't have to do much sanding at all before application and you don't have to prime. It gives great coverage and works great for distressing techniques. I use it all the time and it is great.
Chalk paint is not the same as chalkboard (blackboard) paint. Chalk paint is quite different and you do not write on it with chalk.
It's very versatile and easy to use. Good coverage. Be careful with brush strokes. When you wax, it does make a difference.
Thank you, I really did not know they were different things. N from what I've learned the main reason people use chalk paint is that it gives good coverage. U have helped me understand better what people r talking about. Thanks again. Mary
