How can I remove Adhesive from Flooring?

Help? Trying to remove carpet from kitchen and people before us glued it to the padding and then glued it to the floor. We are trying to scrape it but it's taking forever. Any homemade solvents I could use to remove it without being costly or caustic? Thank you.

Saturate the foam with Goo Gone, let it sit for a while, scrape it off with something plastic. wet some paper towels with Goo Gone and wipe off the residue. Wash with a mixture of one cup of vinegar, one gallon of warm water, and a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid. Use a lot of newspaper.
You could also try denatured alcohol
