Garbage Disposal Cleaning Trick
If you are looking to just clean and freshen this is what I do. run water, start disposal, squirt a good amount of Dawn or good dishwashing soap into the drain and run for as long as you still see suds. Cleans everything right up and the soap is thick enough to stick around and do a good job. I do this every couple of weeks and smells are gone.
I like vinegar/baking soda, followed by a pot of boiling water
i would make sure to feel around the disposal, make sure there is t a bone or something hard stuck in the blades. I once stayed in a rental where the disposal was constantly clogging. A plumber came in and found a screw stuck in there! I didn't have problems with it again.
