I am scared to clean our gas oven due to it having two open surfaces in the bottom and I don't want to get anything in them because it might stop working. What is non chemical and easy way to clean it?

I urge you to contact your gas company. Better safe than sorry.

You can mix 1 Tablespoon of

Dawn dish soap, 1 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of white vinegar.

You can use a paint brush to paint a thick paste of this on the inside of the oven. You may need to add a little water if it is too thick. Let this sit overnight. Then get a green scrubbie and a little water to scrub the stubborn spots and then wipe the rest out.

Baking soda and vinegar fizz when mixed together and make a great cleaning solution.

Believe it or not, Coke works good on cleaning ovens too. (Yes the soda pop LOL!)
