What colors do you like? What accessories are you using, will they be beach themed? Attach some cute HL hardware to your cabinets- get them 50 % off. Possibly just do accent walls with paint, and a simple treatment on the wall behind stove. Maybe an old window to hang and decorate above the sink?
My best advise, is first pick out the new things for the bedroom & bathroom. & from those items, choose your color palette. Anything will go with the neutrals in your apt, so pick things you like, without fear. Anything & everything can be painted, so enjoy all that you can:)
Whatever you choose will be better than existing. Vacation rentals are supposed to be bright and cheery. Whatever you do, it will be a vast improvement! Congratulations and enjoy! 😎☺
First, check out Sherwin Williams or your local paint store for 'mistints' or 'returns' at a discounted price to no cost to you. Maybe a lighter color on the walls such as Navajo White . I think it will brighten the rooms and work well with the cabinets and floors and you can add or change out any color in accessories for that 'pop' you want. I always use a satin finish for clean up purposes. I also always use Pure White wall paint in a satin finish for ceilings. It reflects more light when you don't have high ceilings. Paint is the least expensive means of updating and changing your new home. Best of luck. p.s. check out local thrift stores for 'new to you' furniture to help with your budget.
Soft yellow, or a pale blue/green should work nicely. These create a beautiful soft beachy palette. The key word is soft. You can still use neutral bedding and linens, but then highlight with a pop of a more intense hue in the same color family for accessories such as lamps, pottery, pillows and beachy art. Enjoy!
Thank you, I was thinking of a powdery blue or a light sage green.
I can recommend you to search among the best holiday houses across Australia because I have had this experience three times already and each time was something amazing. The last time was the most interesting because we chose a dream home, with many adventures for both children and adults. We had swimming pools, golf, volleyball, and playgrounds for children.
