Hi, if your porch has railing then take a look at rail flower boxes. They do not take up much room, easy to tend to and plants grow well. Here is a link that shows various sizes. The porch rail flower boxes are easy to find.

Raised beds are great . There are some commercially made that are counter height .
How about a baker's rack? You could put larger pots for tomatoes underneath on the floor and smaller containers on the shelves. Otherwise, an herb garden would be fun in smaller pots scattered about the porch along with hanging baskets. Enjoy your garden Mary!
You could do a wall garden on your deck or porch. Have someone build a picture frame 4' X 6' with wire fencing covering it. Lean it against the wall and hang pots from it. You may need to secure the top of it to the wall to stop it from tipping over. Place tomatoes in large pots on the floor and smaller vegetables or flowers in the pots. You can either have it on it's side (6' long by 4' tall) or standing (4' wide by 6' tall) depending on your reaching abilities.
You can also get those hanging tomato grow pots.
You can hang a bar, then drill a hole just below the lip of several plastic flower pots. Hang
by "S" hooks from the bar.
hang a rod at whatever height works for you, then drill a hole just under the lip of plastic flower pots. Hang from the bar with "S" hooks. They will be at a slight angle so easy to work with.
