Add a cup of white vinegar to your wash or rinse cycle. It will leave a light vinegar smell, but fades quickly.
Add a cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle. This works great if you need to get a cigarette smell out of the laundry too.
Yes white vinegar should do the trick for you.
Wash with vinegar.
disinfect your washer first with the hottest water and white vinegar and baking soda first and let it soak for about an hour. Maybe repeat a second time. Then do the same when washing your towels. Hope this helps.
I agree with Jan...add about a half cup of vinegar to either wash or rinse cycle and don't worry about the vinegar smell, it goes away and your towels should smell fresh. Good Luck!
Try 1 to 1/2 cup ammonia to wash plus your regular detergent, then add 1/2 cup vingar to rinse water.
The above also works when you forget and leave wet clothes in washer.
Try adding a cup of white vinegar to the wash.
Someone suggested using 1/2 cup or less of vinegar or amonia (not both together) in the wash water, and apparently it works for her.
