i would research Roman shades.
First, you need to assess whether or not you need privacy and/or if there are any sun/heat issues with the windows. If privacy is not a consideration but you discover the area is too warm/hot because of prolonged sun exposure, then I would suggest you install 2-inch wood blinds (inside mounted in the window frame). Also, do not mount the blinds against the glass area, hang them so that the headrail (top frame of the blinds) is flush with the front edge of the window frame. These blinds are excellent at insulating against both heat and cold and, when fully tilted open, afford a very open view. Keep the blinds the same color as your walls. Looks like they're white in the photo. That way, the blinds will blend seamlessly with the walls.
Your decor suggests plain, clean lines and these blinds will more than fit that scheme. If you wish to "dress" the windows further, you could investigate some colorful valances or toppers and, to give the look some zip, hang the treatments on decorative rods. Your baker's rack and dining chairs could easily drive that theme. Look around for unusual wrought metal rods that might already have unique finials. I think you'd be pleased with what you could create if you follow some of my suggestions.

In my living room I needed a little natural light to be able to get in and also needed something with color....I used two disposable picnic table covers. They work great, they are cheap and if /when my dogs rip them I can replace them with a different one for about $4 to $8.00 a piece. Just put a hem on the top for the curtain rod and hang.
we had a similar problem, it wasn't so much the curtain, but how to make the two rods look like they were centered. This was complicated by the corner, nothing looked right. I finally used a gray PVC 45 degree corner from the electrical section, it slipped over the two corner rod ends and left a nice curve for the curtain to flow around the corner. We used three matching drapes one for each side and the third around the corner with sheer covering the windows them selves, it balanced it out and looked like a professional had hung them.
Thank you everyone!
beautiful
lovely room just add white sheers
Try using window film. It's budget friendly, easy to install, allows light through, add a decorative touch to your home, and provides privacy.

I see delicate furniture and hutch, room divider?, in iron or metal and it is elegant......I believe I would add the same kind of rods and sheer curtains.......end of story and it would be delightful.
I'm a shutter person. There is a site called Swags Galore that has lots of ideas at reasonable prices.
