I think you would have to have a professional do a top coat.
i don't think there is a diy for this. It would need to be professionally refinished
Black asphalt paint will do the trick
it wasn't sealed properly initially or it's past time to reseal..
It needs to be resealed.
Bohdanna every so often you have to reaseal. It is a job especially if you have a large drive. Before you do your resealing now is the time to fix your cracks in the surface if you have any. Don't choose a hot day to do the job and it will be easier. Your larger box stores will have all the necessary tools to do it. Also do a good job of edging and cleaning of the surface first ( stones, leafs, and all other goodies. the directions for not driving on it will be on the bucket of sealer.
