You can wrap them in jute twine and embellish, you can smear glue and roll in any kind of glitter you choose, you can decoupage tissue paper on them. I agree, troll Pinterest and find some great inspirations.
you could modge podge wrapping papper on them and hang
Worked good enough for me and was so beautiful especially if you wanted to do Victorian decorated tree. I cut out circles of cloth such as Christmas related material or Victorian print material. Cut large enough to cover the egg and gather up and tie a ribbon on it suited for the occasion. For Victorian covered eggs, I tied on pink, or beige ribbon and attached fake pearl beads in tear drop shapes and perhaps a tiny flower was glued on also. Once done, just use one of those wire Christmas ornament hangers and attach under the ribbon and it's ready to hang on the tree.
Paint the. With white texture paint, then give them a snowman face with craft paint, black for eyes and mouth to imitate stones, and orange for the carrot nose. For a better nose paint the end of a toothpick orange, break off the glue into the texture paint while it is drying. You can make a black felt hat, scarf out of plaid ribbon or textile scraps, earmuffs with large Pom PomS. Have fun with them. Glue a plastic fish twine hanger of top using the glue gun.
