Spray the furniture with vinegar, to break down the sap. Try blasting it with the hose. If your hose has several sections, put it on blast, this will work. Good Luck!

Try olive oil.
Go to an auto supply store and buy Sap and Tar Remover. Works!
Basically any Oil, canola etc. or I noticed the wd40 answer that should also work. Amazingly the oil breaks it down. I've even used oil to get sticky residue from labels on glasses or China that were stuck on by the store.
