I just taught a class for Macrame. In January when I was asked to teach the class, I had no idea how to do it. I found Macrame School on YouTube and it was easy to learn! We made Angels in the class and everyone went home with a Christmas ornament and the know how for the basics of Macrame!

It's knot difficult.. but I would get a book instead of trying to learn from Youtube
start on small pieces before tackling something large. learn your different knots then you can design your own piece. it's funny everything returns or re surfaces. Macramé was big in the 70's. I did a 12 foot x 7 foot window curtain it took months to complete and dislocated shoulders too!!! the bottom 3 fot were spirals ending with hemp tassels. Wish I had it now LOL I gave it away in the mid 80's when it went out of fashion good luck. Wally
Go to Amazon and buy a beginner Macrame book. Make something small at first.
