It is your house, you decorate it the way you want it. If you want to do it all in one color for the woodwork, doors and walls, then do it that way. Just make sure you use differing colors for the decor you use in those rooms so it doesn't look like an institution.
I agree with Nancy, you can decorate it in the way you prefer. I would add that making sure you had some variety in texture and some pops of your favorite color would make it sparkle
It's your house and you need to do what you like. You can introduce color in your furnishings and accessories
Don't feel you have to follow the current style. Go with what makes you happy and comfortable. Agree with Karen K about putting color in your accessories (don't forget pillows also come in lots of lovely colors).
anythibg can go it's your home!
The monochromatic look, can be traditional or very modern or a mix of both. Make sure to add texture so it does not appear cold and unwelcoming. I have seen, and do like the tone on tone look if put together well. Poke around on Pinterest for ideas. Go for it! It is your house, you need to be happy. 😍
Yes. The only thing to the paint I recommend is at least a satin finish on the trim, makes it easier to clean.
of course!
