how about a light colored stain glass vinyl sheet? or if crafty, get some Gallery Glass paint at craft store, a stencil and just put the stained glass color on it? it comes off easily when you want it to. did that to mine, it was pretty and left the light in too. also did bathroom window.

We had that problem too. Lowe's or Home Depot can have a special venetian blind made up.

You could screw little curtain rod brackets into the wall and use a wooden dowel as the tension rod if you are hanging curtains. If you are trying to avoid holes in the wall, Command hooks may work.

Hi Libby. We have a Home Depot and Lowes in my area. They both have faux wood blinds that you can purchase. Then they will cut them to size right in the store. It is so convenient, and not a bad price. Maybe check your local home improvement stores and see if they have the same. You just need to bring in the measurements.

If you are not set on a window covering, and you want privacy, try that film that goes over glass to give it a smoked look. Only problem is you can't see out, but if you don't care about that its much easier than fighting to find something you like to fit. Have custom made. Get estimates from window treatment shops or local cabinetmakers in your area.

I agree with Lorenzanas.......I just added some of the lacy looking film to the bottom pane of my bedroom window for privacy. It looks great and is very easy to apply.

This is what I am talking about with the lace. If you decoupage it the light will still show through, and you wouldn't be able to see clearly, but it would afford some privacy and let you know when someone was outside your door

A small hook on either side of the window, a thin dowel the with of the window and a sheer light curtain the same will work on the bottom if you want the bottom stationary
