Cathy, years ago I preserved fall colored leaves, from Michigan, for my stepmom in Texas to display in her classroom. Found a bunch of great leaves and dipped them in paraffin wax. Worked like a charm and she used them for several years.
I do my leaves the old fashioned way ... place them between two sheets of wax paper (like a sandwich), then simply iron them. You can also dip them in paraffin wax.
