I would use flexible molding, either casing or panel mold. If you can't find it locally, you can order it online from sites like http://www.trimster.com/ .
Use
Place a thin wire between the wall and mirror and slide with a back and forth motion. This should help remove the mirror. I hope this will work for you 🙂
I am sorry Denise ... read your question wrong. I thought you asked how to remove a mirror instead of frame a mirror 🙃
You could cut out the oval shape, a 1/4" smaller than mirror all around and stick it on to timber or MDF Mirror down. Then Re-frame it in an oblong frame of your choice. The MDF or Timber can be Finished the same as the frame or use a contrast Paper or Fabric, (This could be done before sticking Mirror to Board). You could also trim oval with a braid if desired..
