My kitchen cabinets are embarrassingly greasy. Please share your degreasing tips with me so I don't have to cringe every time I glance at my cabinets.
Put dryer sheets under your seats, they will eventually absorb the odor. That aside from airing it out and cleaning the carpets.
Clean every inch of the interior. Spritz the carpeting and any cloth with vinegar. Leave the windows open to get air circulation and see if the odor is gone when the vinegar dries. If it isn't gone, see if you can isolate where it is. You may have to change the cabin air filter if the car has one.
Use Febreeze Fabric if seats are fabric. If leather, use appropriate cleaner. Place several containers of baking soda in the car each night, or use charcoal. Both of these help remove odors. You need to use some type of spray cleaner and wash every bit of the interior of the car. Use Febreeze Fabric on the headliner and the carpets, remembering to spay as far up under the seats as you can. Keep the windows rolled down at every opportunity. You can also buy unscented odor eliminator and some of them work wonders, while others not so much. Just keep at it using these suggestions and the smell should be conquered!
Keep spraying inside floors, seats and ceiling with Fabreeze, if seats are not leather, and also put dryer sheets in concealed places in the car.
spread kitty litter and let it soak it up
Sprinkle cat litter (fresh of course 😃) on the carpets (and seats if they are fabric, not leather) and let it sit with rolled up windows for as long as possible, but at least 1day. Then vacuum thoroughly. Works wonders!!! Good luck.
DOWNY Unstoppables! Take an old knee high nylon or cut of the foot plus a little from old pantyhose, pour in about 2 inches or so of the Unstoppable pellets and then tie of the top. Throw it under the passenger seat. I am a smoker and without fail any non-smoker that rides with me asks how I get it to smell so good. I've found that the blue (teal) colour is the nicest. Mine lasts for at least 6 months before replacing.
