I have used semi gloss paint for bath rooms and kitchens but have heard that satin and eggshell works well also. Colors depend on what u like, what fits with colors in rest of house. Don't be afraid of dark colors with white trim
Very light colors have worked best for me.
Depends on your skin tone, Stand in front of the mirror in your best colors to decide which is best, then compare the paint sample strips on that color to see what compliments. Using a lightly tinted color for the walls and ceiling will enlarge the space, a darker floor will appear larger.
When choosing colors for a small bathroom think light and soothing.Paint is a very personal question.Browse through color charts and see what will work in your own lighting.Keep in mind accessories will give you color
Avoid mid-tone greens like sage, mint etc. They cast a sickly hospital glow.
The size is small. Embrace it. Nothing is going to make it bigger than it is. Have some fun with a small bathroom and use that color that you love but have always been afraid of using. Lighting and your mirror are so important. Make an investment in both.
Do one accent wall in a color that you really like, and the rest in a very light color.
Go to the library and check out Consumer Reports Magazine & see the ratings for brand-name paint. I usually use Sherwin Williams paint or Benjamin Moore and get the kind that is easy to wash fingerprints off. I think Sherwin Williams has a sale right now. As for the best colors, go to any paint store or Home Depot/Lowes paint dept. and take some of the free color pieces and then check it out in your own bathroom to see which colors go best. Hope this helps. Arline
