How can I make an L-shaped valance with ends for my long window?

    go to a fabric store and look at the pattern book. They all have a section for home items. The pattern will tell you how much fabric to buy.

    Cornice, sorry. It's a long window, I have a room darkening shade and the light is coming in above the roller.

    Use foam board. The kind you buy in 4 x 8 sheets at the lumber store. Home Depot will cut to size for you. Duck tape the pieces together. Reenforce with u shaped pins. Cover with batting and fabric then hang on L shaped angle brackets. You can use a front, top and one side on each where they meet you will not need sides, just use u shaped pins to hold together on top and bottom. Very light weight and no one knows it is not wood.
