Fabric blinds touching the floor

Our home was destroyed by a tornado in 2003. We purchased fabric blinds for our patio door, from a local department store. We noticed the blinds seem to be longer now, and touching the floor. I don't know if it's possible to cut them, or just have the company to come back out, and cut them professionally.

Thank you all for responding!!!

Can't you pull one of the strings and make them shorter? That's the way my blinds work.

  • Have the company come back out.

Are they vertical or horizontal blinds? If they are vertical, check to see if the upper bracket is sagging and needs more support, or the brackets need to be tightened up. My mom has them for her French doors and had trouble with that when she first moved into her retirement community.

I agree with Naomie. Have the company come back out. If they did the install they should have noticed this and corrected it.

They are vertical blinds. We checked the support bar. It is just as tight, as the day they were installed. I believe you all are right, about having the company come out.
