Plumbing: Leak & Hose Connection Issues

Hello, I'm inquiring about dishwasher & valve plumbing issues underneath our kitchen sink. We have a Kenmore dishwasher and are having a hard time finding the correct part. We are needing an pipe elbow to connect the hose underneath. We're also needing a dual outlet stop valve because the current one will not stop leaking. We've been to Home Depot, True Value and even last resort Walmart in attempts to finding the correct parts. We have the correct measurements. My question is what the heck are we doing wrong? Any advice would be very appreciated before I kick my handyman husband in the shins! He has the 'plumbers crack' perfected but has just admitted defeat on the rest of it and that says a lot lol! Hi Sweetie, the valve leaking is usually because there is packing under the large nut that holds the stem in. Years ago I had one do that and I was told to check it. I put new O rings on the stem and washers with plumbers grease and it took care of my leak. Hope it works for y'all as well. Good luck and God Bless! Uncle Jeff!

Go to a real hardware store and talk to the guy there who knows plumbing
