you could put a wood frame around it. I have also seen in high end homes where the frame is smaller than the mirror by several Inches. It is centered on the mirror. Looks great
Put a frame on it. Either a frame surrounding the glass or one stuck to the surface of the mirror. If glued to the mirror surface be sure to finish (stain or paint) the back inside edge of the frame (it will show in the mirror).
We had a full wall mirror in our guest bath and it was ugly! Getting ready to sell our house, I had to do something, so I purchased 1" glass tiles from Home Depot and LocTite adhesive in a tube. The tile came in sheets and I chose a copper and gold metallic finish to compliment our bathroom decor. I glued the tiles in a double row around the mirror, forming a tile frame. What a difference , and for a very minor expenditure!
