I like that idea Ann! You could even attach a plastic baggie to it and whenever you see a great birthday card you like put it in the bag under the month of the person you want to send it too. Then mark it on your calendar page that you have a card.
As for the coat hangers, you could remove the metal part and then using a painted (almost) 1 lb. coffee can, you could screw the hangers at that part to the middle of the can in an evenly spaced row right around the middle of the can.
You could use your creation as a lint and softener sheet trash can, or add a hanging light kit and make a chandelier.
You could attach the hangers to a piece of wood to form a bath towel hanging ladder.
You could cut the hangers in half and attach to a piece of wood at the cut edges to form coat hooks.
You could fan the hangers out to make an artsy wall hanging.
You could attach the ends of the hangers to form hexagons in a bee honeycomb like pattern and put family pictures in the center of each ‘comb’.
Fix to stand and use for suit Stand Valet OR M ake a Mobile or form stand and fix 3 or 4 around top to form umbrella frame and use as plant supports OR Make washing dolly line by attaching Broom Handles or poles to join 2 or 3 Hangers together. OR take out the hooks, Screw together through holes to make Wings Or the start of a Roof for Hutch?????? etc.
