If I understand your question, you can leave the sheetrock bare until your ready to paint. EJL.
There is no reason for you to paint right away. Just remember that you will need to put a sealer on it before you paint. Hope all else is well for you after the hurricane. I just went through Irma. Nothing compared to you though. Best of luck.
you can let it sit without paint until you can get to it
It's ok to leave till you're ready.........
The texture is not sealed and will absorb moisture. Living in Texas you have a lot of humidity. I would find a way to paint it with something.
