I would think so.Just make sure it's not too thick. (usually 1" thick + is for floor) Most flooring is thick, due to conforming to the necessary weight of foot traffic - there are many floor paneling options that can double for wall paneling, most of your hardware stores have options for both.

Im not sure what you mean by wood panel flooring. Do you mean hardwood flooring? If so then yes this would work. Laminate flooring would not.

If it goes flat on a floor it can go flat on a wall. Doesn't matter what kind of flooring either. Hardwood, laminate, vinyl planks, etc.
