20 ft. Dark hallway with six single doors and one double louvder door

Maple finish doors and woodwork. Walls are white and woodwork will also be white. Light tile floor has been installed. What to do with doors? I've thought of just paint, wall paper, stencils, painted pictures, molding. Something to brighten this hall up. Any ideas?

We have a house that faces east and west... so the rooms on the opposite side from the sun are dark... We installed door that have glass in them so the west side shares light with the east and vice versa... for privacy, when we have guests, I installed "blackout" roller shades in a light rattan color.

Also... there was one post on here that showed how to make a faux window using a wood frame (or and old window frame), a string of LED lights, and curtains to add much needed light at the bland end of a hallway... you could do that all along your dark hall between doorways.

Since you're going to 'do something', why not paint one a light creamy color that would mimic the floor and see if you like that before going actual white. I wouldn't like those dark doors either!

Definitely paint the maple doors to bring some light into the area. With that many doors in a wood color, it will be hard to brighten up the space without lightening the door color.

Personally I would paint them white. That's just personal preference though.

    We had a similar situation.
