Lustre polyurethane came out hi gloss?

I applied a lustre polyurethane finish with a foam roller, on a lustre finished floor. When it dried it looks like hi gloss? Why?
What do I need to do to get it to come out with a lustre finish?

Hi Daisy, Did you stir it first? You need to stir it to get the flattening agents to work. You could stir it up real well (do not shake) then apply a second coat. Try a small area first.

Go over it with some very fine steel wool to cut the gloss.
