We put a 12 ft. x 48 ft. deck/porch on the west side of our home 20 yrs. ago; we used the laminated 2" x 6" boards for the floor with 2 screws per board in each of the floor joists and have never had to do any repairs, painting, or sealing of it since. It's still beautiful today, has darkened a little from the weather 110* high in the summer to -26* in the winter, but still is in perfect condition. As far as we are concerned (hubby is 76 and I am 72) it's the only way to build decks, porches, etc.
two about 1" from each side of 2x6
I would use 2 screws at the end of each board. That should be plenty to hold it in place firmly.
