As always, it's in the preparation. You need to wash thoroughly with TSP that you can get in the paint department. It will clean the cabinets and degloss the shiny paint. Make sure any chips are sanded smooth. I would use a paint specifically made for metal. It will say so on the can.

Your best bet is to either lightly sand or use a chemical to remove the old gloss so new paint sticks. You can get good advice in the paint dept.

Scuff sand with 120 grit paper, clean with TSP. I paint all metal cabinets with pre-catalyzed epoxy from Sherwin Williams. Its low odor and cleans with soap and water...you will love it. Use a 4" mini roller with short nap it will lay out very smooth.

Hi and Ty. Do u prime after cleaning? Would foam roller work? How expensive is a gallon of the paint? Does it come in lots of colors? Where to find it?

How o u clean and maintain?

      Sorry so many questions.👵
